What it makes.
A picture of a tweet that doesn't exist. You choose the display name, the handle, the profile picture, the text, the date, whether there's a blue badge, and how many replies, reposts, likes and views it got. The preview redraws as you type, and the download is a PNG you own outright.
The card is drawn to X's real proportions — the 48-pixel round avatar, the scalloped verified badge, the blue on mentions and links, the thin divider above the metrics row, and X's own way of shortening numbers to three figures, so 12,400 views prints as 12.4K and 128,400 prints as 128K. Long posts drop to the smaller type size X switches to, which is the detail almost every other generator misses.
How to use it.
- Put in the display name and the handle. Leave the @ off the handle — it's added for you.
- Write the tweet. Line breaks are kept, and anything starting with @, # or http turns blue on the card.
- Choose a profile picture if you want one. Skip it and you get X's default grey avatar, which is often the more honest look for a mockup.
- Set the date, the counts, and light or dark. Then hit Download PNG.

Can I use my own profile picture?
Yes. Choose any PNG, JPG, WebP or GIF and it gets cropped into the round avatar the same way X crops it. Your picture never leaves your computer — it isn't uploaded anywhere, because there is nowhere for it to go.
What is this actually for?
Three things, mostly. Jokes and parody accounts. Design mockups, where you need a realistic post to sit inside a landing page or a pitch deck. And screenshots for a talk or a tutorial where you want to show a post without dragging a real person into it.
Will the image look sharp on a retina screen?
Yes. The card is drawn at twice the size it displays at, so the PNG is 1200 pixels wide. It stays crisp on a MacBook, in a keynote, and when someone zooms in.
Can I make it look like a dark mode tweet?
Yes. There's a light and a dark card, both using X's own background, text and divider colours — the dark one is the black "Lights out" theme, not a grey approximation.
Does it save what I type?
No. There is no database and no request. Refresh the page and everything you typed is gone, including the picture you chose.
